Home School Days

On these special days for home school students only, individual families qualify for the discount group rate and join with other families for fun and friendship. Home school families will receive a 90-minute guided tour and activity appropriate for a family with children of all ages.

Home school groups of 10 or more students are always welcome to reserve a guided tour at anytime.  Please see instructions on scheduling a private tour.  Other options include attending one of the many family events throughout the year or visiting the museum for a self-guided tour during regular museum hours.

Fee $3 per person over age 4.  Registration is required.  Contact Sarah Parker at 410.706.9599 or email at sparker@dentalmuseum.umaryland.edu to reserve your space.  All Home School Day students receive Smile Kits to take home.

See amazing teeth feats, marvel at animals and their teeth, and come tooth-to-tooth with George Washington's not-so-wooden teeth. Younger children can dress up and role play a visit to a "dental office," find out about the people who help us take care of our teeth, and watch "Dudley Visits the Dentist" in the ADA Theater. Older kids will learn how to solve crimes by using DNA from a tooth, discover the wonderful world of saliva, and see how scientists may one day be able to grow new teeth!
